The fund invests chiefly in a portfolio of equities issued by companies which are based in, or which pursue more than 50% of their activities (by sales or production) in a country undergoing or about to undergo a transition from a developing country to an industrial country, or which is included in the fund's benchmark. Investment is typically made in equities from Asia, Latin America, Africa and Eastern Europe. The companies are from several regions, countries and sectors.
The objective of the portfolio management is to generate a return over time which is at least in line with the market development in the global emerging equity markets measured by the benchmark mentioned above.
The fund may use derivative financial instruments.
